With my girlfriend in Spain, 2015

With my girlfriend in Spain, 2015

I always say that I started my online journey less than two years ago – in 2014. However, to be honest, it all began back in 2010. But you’ll soon see why I skip those 3-4 years when talking about my experience.

There was (actually, still is) a very popular online game called World of Warcraft. It has a $15/month subscription fee. Nothing big, right?

One day, soon after returning from one of the best holiday trips of my life (Toronto -> New York -> Washington D.C. -> Las Vegas -> Canyons -> Vancouver -> Hawai) I decided that it’s time to take matters into my own hands… and start a blog.

Yes, a blog. My great money-making idea was to start what I called a “Blog about Everything”.

It's in Polish, but still...

And so it started. I wrote my first couple of posts in a matter of hours and then started looking into how I can actually monetize it (I had visitors already – two: mom and dad). After a short while, I found a mysterious thing called Google Adsense.

But what’s more important is that after a day or two, I found a truly magical opportunity called affiliate marketing.

For the next couple of months I became a big fan and reader of the Warrior Forum, dreamed about buying some of the over-hyped ClickBank products I saw over and over again (Google Sniper etc.) and finally… purchased a brand new site on Flippa for $70. It “had the potential” to earn $1500-ish/month.

Needless to say, I lost my motivation and enthusiasm (oh, and $70). I left Internet Marketing for good – only to return 2 years later.

To keep this a bit shorter than it could be, I’ll speed up my progress now.

So – 2012. I’ve got a lot of money now (a good $100 in my PayPal account!) and I am almost an adult so I can almost legally have my PayPal account. Previously, I made a mistake during registration and set my year of birth to be 1990. Oops.

To be perfectly honest – I don’t remember exactly what I tried doing in 2012, but I think it was releasing my own product. Needless to say, it didn’t work out and once again – I quit for good.

This time to return in 2013 and… finally taste success! I created a Social Media Marketing company called The Marketing Lord (please don’t comment on the name…). I brokered (resold) Social Media Marketing services such as FaceBook likes, followers, Twitter stuff, YouTube views etc.

It was fun to finally taste a bit of success! Especially that I remember how it all started – I put up an auction on Ebay for $10 of a service I found for $5 on Fiverr. 2 days passed, I forgot about it and then one day, when leaving school, I check my phone – sold!

Anyway, I had some decent success with that but stopped after a while, as I just didn’t like it.

September 2014 – I find a guy on the WarriorForum (yes, I am back there) called Matt Poc. Pretty bad looking profile picture and his sales letter is ugly but… he’s offering a free 2 hour strategy session with an action plan and all that. Email marketing. Let’s go!

Had a great call and soon after I got to attend one of his webinars for paid coaching members for free. Was fun! I asked him about his coaching program and joined just a few minutes later. Matt became my first ever coach and mentor. He’s one year… younger than me.

Early January 2015. I am still not making a lot of money with email marketing. So I decide to turn up the heat. 12 hours of work per day, massive productivity, laser beam focus. It pays off! Within 2 months I go from pretty much zero to about $5000/month – that’s automated! 2-hours-per-week automated. I learnt a lot back in those days.

I keep on pushing and by May I hit almost $9000/month.

In the meantime, I research Matt’s mentor – a mysterious millionaire living in a castle up in Scotland. His name is Dan Peña and he’s created over $50 billion in equity and value for his mentees and followers.

The One and Only

I watch every one of his videos, read all the articles I can find and then follow Brian Rose of London Real as he takes what’s called “The QLA Experience” or – Dan’s QLA Seminar up in his castle. About $20k.

Receiving My Graduation Certificate.

I am now proud to call Dan my new business mentor. His 8-day seminar was life-changing. “I’ll be back.” – that’s for sure!

What if I were to start all over again? What would I do?

Now with a ton of experience, knowledge and (wasted) work hours, I can easily look back and see what I would change – what I would do differently if I was back at square one, however with my current knowledge/experience.

1. Instead of playing around, I’d join a proven business or follow a proven business model.

Starting something totally unique is awesome – I must admit, as I’ve done it a few times. However, if you want the best bang for your buck, you simply can’t go wrong with following a proven, tested business model or simply joining a business. I go over this in great detail in my premium ebook PDF presentation (you can get it by simply joining my mastermind list – for free). Instead of having to worry about… well, everything, you just focus on one thing. That depends on the business model/business you’ve joined but that’s usually to send traffic and get leads.

After doing that for a while, I can tell you – it’s easy. There’s no comparison between following a system and creating your own.

So, once again – I’d start with joining a business. That way, you can make your first few thousand (or few hundred thousand) dollars pretty quickly and easily (compared to doing it on your own), gain a ton of knowledge and experience and make connections (remember: your network is your net worth). Some businesses such as the one I am in right now even get you a full-time personal coach!

2. I would work – “hard” – on my mindset.

Without the proper mindset, you won’t get anywhere. That’s a personal, tested guarantee. You simply won’t!

Once again, check out my free ebook PDF for my top mindset techniques/strategies that I’ve used myself to completely change the way I think – in a positive way of course. All aspects of your life will be positively affected: personal, relationships, business, family and more. Seriously. Just do it!

Weird as it may sound, without a proper mindset, even if you achieve success, you won’t know how to deal with it. It’s like lottery winners. They feel uncomfortable (!) being rich – and soon end up being poor again (usually in a much worse state than before). As my mentor says: “Get comfortable with success!”.

3. I’d get a coach or mentor – as soon as humanly possible.

He’s also the one “thing” that all successful people have in common. It’s his job to keep you on track…

I am talking about your coach of course!

Every single person that’s ever achieved anything truly big in this world, had a coach, or mentor. Now, I know – you might not want to make millions. Or save the planet. Or become the #1 [something]… But even if your goal is something like, making $10k per month from your online business – a coach is absolutely vital to your success.

I know I sound like a broken record… But hopefully that shows you just how important a coach or mentor is. I know that well, because I’ve had two. By now you probably know who the two are. If you don’t, I urge you to read my book right now.

My first mentor & coach was Matt Pocius, the “Youngest, Highest Paid Internet Marketing Consultant in the World”. He helped me sharpen my mindset, kept me going when I wanted to quit (twice!) and ultimately – changed my life.

My second & current mentor is Dan Pena, also known as the 50 Billion Dollar Man. He screwed my head on straight, showed me what the life of a high-performance individual looks like and taught me general business.

How do you find a coach? It’s usually quite easy, actually.

Many people simply offer coaching. Apart from that, you can find out who the top people in your industry/market are, and contact them. Perhaps they would be willing to mentor or coach you.

Do note that coaching usually costs – a lot! Your coach should be significantly more experienced and wealthy than you, which means that his time is worth a lot. You have to be ready to pay the price.

I hope this doesn’t sound like an advertisement – since it’s not supposed to be – but simply by joining my business (the one I am working on) you get a full-time personal coach even at the entry level (which costs just $49 one-time). Without my coach, I don’t think I would’ve gotten anywhere near where I am now and where I am going!

Alright, that’s about it for my story. I hope you found it interesting and motivating. If I can do it, you can do it as well. Just remember: think big, work hard and follow a proven system and you WILL succeed no matter what. Oh and of course – never, ever, ever, ever, ever give up! It took me 5 years – I now know how to “make it” in a few months at most. I never gave up – I just took long breaks 😉

And whatever you decide to do… JUST DO IT! Now!
